Introducing
Grand Central Place

Dukelease is an award-winning property developer with more than thirty years’ experience delivering exceptional residential and mixed-use schemes.

Under their development brand, Manner, plans have been created to deliver new student accommodation and high-quality retail space on Briggate, the historic shopping street in Leeds City Centre.

Located at 140-142 Briggate, the current House of Fraser site, this new development will respect the townscape and historical significance of the local area and embrace contemporary city living. The current building from the 1960s will be demolished and replaced with an attractive, vibrant, and welcoming development.

Subject to planning approval, Grand Central Place will offer students a modern, comfortable, and safe place to live throughout their university studies in Leeds. Situated within a mile of both Leeds Beckett University and the University of Leeds, this site is an ideal location for high-quality and much-needed student accommodation. Our plans will also deliver a renewed retail offer on Briggate, creating sustainable retail units of a size and standard which are designed to meet evolving shopping needs.

Thank you to all those who participated in our public consultation in December 2021. We have now submitted a planning application (22/00774/FU) to Leeds City Council, which can be viewed by visiting www.leeds.gov.uk/planning/planning-permission/view-and-comment-on-planning-applications.
